Frequently asked questions

What formats and sources does Fuse support?

Fuse plays virtually every container and codec — including MKV, MP4, MOV, ISO, BDMV, TS/M2TS, AVI, FLV and more, with H.264, HEVC, VC-1, AV1, and audio like TrueHD, DTS, E-AC3 and FLAC. It connects to local drives, SMB, FTP, NFS, WebDAV, Plex, Jellyfin, popular cloud drives, and IPTV playlists.

Do I need Fuse Pro?

No — core playback is free. Fuse Pro unlocks the full advanced engine (for formats beyond what Apple decodes natively), all sources, offline downloads, sync, the Private Vault, and more. It’s available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase, with no free trial.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open Fuse, go to the upgrade screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy Fuse Pro.

Where does my library data live? Can I delete it?

Your library, artwork, and preferences are stored on your device (and in your own iCloud if sync is on). In Settings → Storage & Data you can clear the image cache, clear the library index, or delete all local Fuse data. Your original media files are never touched.

Artwork or metadata isn’t loading. What can I do?

Fuse fetches artwork from TMDB. If nothing loads, check your internet connection, confirm “Fetch posters & backdrops” is on in Settings → Metadata, and try again. On restrictive networks Fuse automatically uses encrypted DNS to reach TMDB. You can also paste your own free TMDB API key in Settings.

A specific file won’t play or has no sound.

Try switching the engine in Settings → Playback → Engine (Auto/Native/Advanced). For unusual audio like TrueHD or DTS, the advanced engine decodes it for you. If it still fails, email us the file’s format details and we’ll dig in.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your device open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select Fuse, and cancel. You’ll keep Pro until the end of the current period.

Is my data private?

Yes. Fuse has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and we don’t run servers that collect your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Still stuck?

Email support@fuseplayer.app with as much detail as you can, and we’ll get back to you. For legal details, see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
